Trans Slovenija - ultra marathon from Goričko to Piran (397 km, 5 stages) - *.gdb

Start: Hodoš - Wednesday, 12. August 2009 ob 8:00
Finish: cape of Piran - Sunday, 16. August 2009

Stage 1: Hodoš - Ptuj (82,5 km), start at 8:00 - *.pdf - *.gdb

Stage 2: Ptuj - Sevnica (91,5 km), start at 6:00 - *.pdf - *.gdb

Stage 3: Sevnica - Lipa (73 km), start at 6:00 - *.pdf - *.gdb

Stage 4: Lipa - Postojna (70 km), start at 6:00 - *.pdf - *.gdb

Stage 5: Postojna - Piran (80 km), start at 6:00 - *.pdf - *.gdb

Rules:

• solo run: running or walking are the only permitted means of progress
• mandatory equipment: mobile phone
• only one category (male and female)
• no time limits
• the organizer will make unannounced checks on all entrants during the marathon and runners, who will brake the rules, will be disqualified
• it is possible to run on only one (or more) stages
• you run at your own risk

Running supplies:

Several water stations (drinking water only) will be set on each stage by the organizer. Runner has to take care of all other needs himself.

Accommodation:

• Hodoš 11/8/09 – Hodoš Youth Centre (address: Hodoš 52, 9205 HODOŠ). There are 32 beds available with the Youth Centre located 3km North East of the centre of Hodoš. This will be the starting place for the Trans Slovenia Run on 12/8/09 at 8.00am. Accommodation for the night of 11/08/09 can also be arranged.
• Ptuj – Kurent Youth Centre (address: Osojnikova cesta 9, 2250 PTUJ). There are 53 beds available, of which 25-30 have already been reserved for runners.
• Sevnica 13/08/09 – Hotel Ajdovec (address: Trg svobode 1, 8290 SEVNICA). There are 25 beds and, like all the overnight stops, there is parking space available for caravans.
• Pri Cerkvi/Struge – Hunter’s Hut Struge (address: Pri Cerkvi/Struge 30, 1313 STRUGE) An idyllic campsite, which lies 1km from the town of Struge, with two large and two smaller rooms where sleeping can be arranged. Be warned, there is no mobile phone reception here.
• Postojna – Hotel Epicenter (address: Kazarje 10, 6230 POSTOJNA). A modern hotel with 25-30 beds available.
• Piran – Please note, the entrance fee does not include sleeping costs in Piran. Sleeping arrangements will be the responsibility of the runners themselves. For competitors traveling from abroad, we can arrange accommodation for a maximum of 10. Entrance fees:

Entrance fee for applications received before 31.05.2009 is 250€, after that it is 300€. Applications are no longer possible after 01.08.2009. Entrance fee includes all transportations, and bed with dinner on end of every stage and on start. Entrance fee is 100€ (130€ after 31.05.2009) if the entrant is organizing their own overnight sleeping and transportation to the start and from the finish line.

Entrance fee is 20€ for entrants wishing to enter a single stage only. In this case transportation is not provided by the organizer. Maximum allowed runners on whole race is 20 because sleep capacities are limited. Entrance is guaranteed with payment. However, this limit does not apply to runners who will take care of sleeping themselfs.

Prizes:

All participants receive T-shirt and a a practical prize, marathon finishers also receive certificate and a Finisher T-shirt at the finish line.
